"A unique, erotic, ironic and spastic voice has splattered onto the scene with the publication of Sean Stanley's Etcetera and Otherwise...

"...The text is filled with zany pleasures such as, "'Our parents were very nearly the same people.' 'Very nearly," Etcetera smiled, 'They were separated only by a single day, one city street and three kilograms of If.'" The juxtaposition of logic and illogic is one of the central pleasures of the text. The fairy tale qualities of the story are highlighted by the accompanying illustrations. These images feature quotes from the text like a Beatrix Potter book. However, the frank eroticism of the writing often disproves the efficacy of this comparison.

The grammar and world regularly upends on a tiltawhirl - "as he spoke he fiddled with his dagger, only to discover the blade could be turned inside out, which released a cloud of mayflies he'd never known were there."
